Motorcyclist Killed In Road Collision On Exmoor.

A motorbike rider has died following a crash on Exmoor.

The crash happened on Wednesday, at around 18:00 BST on the A396 close to Wheddon Cross.

According to the police, the rider was trying to overtake a car which was travelling towards the B3224 and collided with a van coming from the opposite direction.

He sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
